A couple of Christmases ago, I was frustrated at how unorganized my Christmas season had gotten and the idea of a Holiday planner was born.
We had a brand new baby, our first grader had just started at a new school, and life was chaotic.
WITH EVERYTHING WE HAD GOING ON, OUR BUDGET FOR CHRISTMAS WAS BASICALLY NON-EXISTENT.
So the need to keep our gift-buying on track was crucial!
I decided to throw together a Google Sheet to keep track of our budget, who we needed to purchase a gift for, and who we already had a gift for. It worked SO well! I kept the sheet for the following year and have used it every year since! Each year, I’ve thought of something new and helpful to add to the document – Christmas card lists, movie night details, and parties and activity lists.
This year, I moved the document to a digital planner and added a place for Holiday menus, recipes, and fun! I couldn’t be more excited about this planner!!
For our family, the Christmas season is full of hustle and bustle. We plan lots of activities, movie nights, and fun with our family because Christmas means so much to us! This is why having a separate Holiday planner for this time of the year is so helpful for me!
We do almost everything digitally in our home. Our family calendar is shared amongst all of us on the Apple Calendar app.
BUT THIS HOLIDAY PLANNER KEEPS ALL OF MY SEASONAL DETAILS IN ONE PLACE!
It helps me feel so much more organized, plus it gives me more space to leave as many details as I’d like throughout the planner!

Let me show you the inside!
This is the front cover – You know I had to make it as Christmasy as possible! You can write whatever you want on the front of the planner or leave it blank. I also think it would be fun to just write the year too! Or even insert a family Christmas photo from last year (or this year’s Christmas card!)
This is probably my favorite section! A place for all of my Holiday recipes and even a list for groceries! Enter everything once and DONE!
Speaking of recipes, this is the “Table of Contents” tab for the recipes you want to include. Each of those gray buttons is hyper-linked to a separate page! All you have to do is click the button and it takes you right to the recipe you’ve added!
I don’t know about you, but our family binge-watches every Christmas movie we can think of during the Holiday season! There’s a space to list every movie you want to watch – just cross it off when you finish it!
The Christmas card and gift lists look similar. You can choose to write in addresses, only use names, or whatever you want to jot down to keep track of those things!
Then, of course, we have a monthly calendar for November, December, and January! The busiest months of the year 🙂 As well as a few blank pages to insert whatever would be helpful for you this Holiday season!
I am so proud of how this planner turned out! It’s SO much easier to navigate (even from my phone) than a Google Sheet.
AND a lot prettier!
I’d love to hear what you think! Would your family benefit from a Holiday planner like this?
