Getting To Know You Task Cards | All About Me
This set of 20 task cards is a great way for your learners to practice their speaking and listening skills while also learning more about people in their lives. With these task cards, they’ll have the opportunity to ask another person specific questions to learn more about them. Then, they can use the information to teach others about the person they learned about.

In this activity, learners will pair up and ask each other questions about their partner. Then, they’ll present a few fun facts about their partner to the class, allowing everyone to learn something new about their classmates. This set of 20 task cards is not limited to the beginning of the school year. It can be used for learners who need practice with social skills, English language learners, or as an ice breaker in counseling/therapy sessions. The presentation portion of the activity also helps your learners strengthen their skills as part of the ELA speaking and listening standards. There are four question designs including “would you rather?,” “what is your favorite?,” “this or that?,” and “howdy partner.” If this activity proves to be a hit with your learners, laminate the task cards for future use and durability. This will save you time and money in the long run. You can use the task cards with individuals or in small/large group settings. They are the perfect indoor or outdoor activity and allow your learners to get up and moving within their educational environment. All 20 cards are available in a color version, as well as a black and white version. Please note, both versions are identical.
