Few think of the environmental impact of meat production when they are having dinner. It may be surprising to hear that farming and agriculture are significant contributors to climate change.
How does agriculture affect the environment? Industrial agricultural systems contribute approximately one-third of total greenhouse gas emissions. This science lesson introduces students to farming and climate change. It encourages students to start to consider the environmental impact of animal agriculture.
