Draw and Explore Geography: United States, Vol. 1

The Draw and Explore Geography series is a great way to combine art and geography. A short description of each state is given that includes when the state became a state, its major cities and regions, and additional information such as mountains and other key features. Each is followed by an image of the state showing the cities and regions on a grid. Next, students can do one or all of the assignments that follow. They can draw half of the image in a grid that shows the left half of the picture, half of the image in a grid that shows the right half of the picture, or the entire image on an empty grid. This makes the unit completely flexible for both left-handed and right-handed students. Multiple review activities as well as an answer key are also included.

Volume 1 includes Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, South Carolina, New Hampshire, and Virginia. 44 pages total. Ages 8-13.
