With a range of levels included, watch your learners continuously progress with their vocabulary, language and sentence-building skills.

There are 3 different adapted books included in this pack, and all are linked to the theme of insects and counting. The books come in different levels to differentiate between learners’ abilities and to help them progress through levels as they progress with their sentence-building and counting skills.

Adapted books are a great way to encourage learners to pay close attention to detail and start to link vocabulary to the images that they see. Each book comes with symbols as well as a ‘base page’ this is where the symbols can be stored when not in use and for learners to select the symbols from to use within the adapted books.

Spelling is available to suit both colour/color, grey/gray etc.

The adapted books included;

  • Level 1 Counting (0-10)
    Learners look at how many leaves are in the ten frame. Then, find the matching number symbol from the base board to place here. I.e ‘1/one’ ’10/ten’
  • Level 2 Counting (0-10)
    Learners look at how many butterflies are near the flower. Then, find the matching number symbol and butterflies from the baseboard to place here. I.e ‘1/one butterfly’ ’10/ten butterflies’
  • Level 3 Counting (0-10)
    Learners look at how many ladybugs are on the leaf. Then, find the matching symbols to make a sentence. I.e ‘5/Five ladybugs on the leaf.’

 

Each book comes with instructions included on the first page on how you can put this book together to get the best possible use out of it.

The vocabulary is suitable for American or British classrooms. (Color, Colour etc.)

These books are great to help learners build up and work on their sentences. It encourages learners to select the correct words(symbols) to match the picture they are looking at as well as being able to place them in the correct order to build an appropriate sentence.
