The teaching guide for the Biography Unit of Study focuses on developing students’ reading and writing skills through the study of biographical texts. This Biography Reading and Writing unit of study is intended to use as a separate study of the genre of biography or as part of a unit study of non-fiction.
It includes videos, anchor charts, reading activities (individual and with partner), group activities, as well as a section for writing a biography report. Also included are templates for report as well as note taking and sketching pages for report. Students can use keyword list when writing their biography report.
Report templates are included for grades 1 – 4 and can be used interchangeably.
